This week on the Double Damage Dota 2 podcast we talk about the latest edition to the Dota 2 Beta, Syllabear. We also talk in great length about how to counter more of the common pubstomp heroes that are encountered often, round up the latest competitive news, answer questions from the listeners, and have a discussion about everyone’s favorite support hero; Lich. Next week we will be doing some Beta Key giveaways so make sure to subscribe to the RSS feed to be in the know! Also leave any questions or comments you may have in the comments section and we will answer them on next weeks podcast.

CURSE YOU AUTECH I wanted first comment =(
I have good news though. I won my first game of DotA 2 after 80 hours of bot game practice. I used Lion, a hero I only played in 2/60 of the bot games I played.
I don’t know how gravitar works
Nor do you know how to spell it.
Just kidding. Ok my question is this: how do melee heroes with low damage survive in lane against someone with range and good damage? Specifically dragon knight against mostly any ranged hero.
What are some useful console commands you guys use? Or rather, console commands you feel everyone should use?
Do you really feel safer behind a tree than in a bush?
I know you have to bash on lols every episode(riot kinda deserves it) but can it at least make sense?
Hey. I am one of your old lol listeners and i want two start waching DotA 2. Is there any guide how i can learn to wach DotA 2? The first time i wacht Tobi Wan i understand nothing and only see burning tree.
@Tura
I actually don’t think Tobi is a very good caster for players trying to learn the game. He is really just a personality to get people who already know whats happening, excited.
I would definitely suggest Purge as he provides a lot of insight into the game with a very calm persona. He narrates a lot of his own mid level games and casts a lot of competitive ones as well.

He also has written a very nice guide for new players

This website has “translated” it into Dota 2 terms

Tura, subscribe to DotaCinema on YouTube. They have informational videos and guides for all the heroes and they pump out videos a lot. If you want to see gameplay sub to PurgeGamers. He has great FPVods.
Brewmaster is not a Panda, why is Brewmaster not a Panda.
I haven’t been this disappointed since Gaben confessed his undying love for cartoon horses.
Why is Brewmaster not a Panda?
